PLAYOFF TIME. Congrats to the 6 guys that made the playoffs: Dave, Rambo, Eric, Jeff, Dad, and Justin. Of the six, only Justin, Dad, and Jeff made it last year and none made the finals (Jim vs. Dags). Let’s take a look at what we have here:
The Byes
- Dave (9-4)
- Rambo (9-4)

Skahan and Rambo get to take a snooze and rest up their players this week. They each finished 9-4 (the only ones to do so) and have earned the respite. Good job fellas.
3. Eric (8-5)
6. Justin (7-6)

This one is going to be a close one I think. Justin gets the QB edge. Both Russ and Dak (whoever he chooses to go with, must be nice) are better than Jameis but Jameis is no slouch either. I mean, he sucks at real football but he has been a top 10 fantasy QB this year. I’m gonna give myself the RB edge in this one. Aaron Jones has a great matchup against Washington, but he has shown a surprisingly low floor lately and Kamara faces a top 3 rush D. If we pretend Dalvin will be completely healthy Sunday (please) he has a mouth-watering matchup against Detroit and Melvin faces a weak JAX rush D. I’ll give Justin the slight edge at WR. Can’t Guard Mike has a tough matchup against San Fran and who knows which Tyler Boyd will show up this week. Kenny G is good but he has your mom throwing to him and Coop has been quiet but you know the explosion potential is there. I give myself a slight edge at TE. Hunter Henry just feels like a safer play than Cook (has been very very good lately) against San Fran. All in all, I think we are pretty evenly matched so it should be a sweat for both Justin and me.
4. Jeff (8-5)
5. Dad (8-5)

Father versus son. This should be another pretty close match. I’m going to give the QB edge to Dad this week. Jeff has the better season-long QB by a mile in Joshy Allen but he faces a tough Baltimore D this week. Dad is rolling with Wentz who has straight up been awful this year but he faces a juicy NYG defense. Jeff gets the nod at RB. Ingram and Ekeler have been solid performers all year long and I don’t expect that to change this week. Zeke is a no-brainer RB1 but Dad’s other RBs are Jamaal Williams and David Montgomery who I would just not feel great about running out there. Dad gets the WR edge which is suprising considering Jeff’s first 2 picks were WRs. Hopkins has been fine (maybe a little worse than he was drafted but still an easy WR1) but OBJ has straight up sucked. He’s a guy you can never drop or bench but you hate having on your team. Dad has Godwin and Tyreek. Both put up 7s last week but I know I would be shitting my pants going up against either guy. Waller gives Jeff the TE advantage over stellar sports broadcaster Jason Witten. Waller showed up again last week after disappearing for a few games and Witten is purely TD dependent. Gun to my head I’m taking Dad in this one. He has historically been fantasy-bulletproof and I just like his guys’ matchups better. Still, should be close and I’m looking forward to the Held Bowl.
Good luck to all in involved (except Justin).
